The Story of a Syrian Prisoner
The Story of a Syrian Prisoner
About Author
Mohamad Araji is A witness to the crimes of the ousted Syrian regime, and a victim of its prisons, violations, and torture.
This Book
This book tells the story of one of the witnesses to the crimes of the deposed Syrian regime in prisons, and the suffering he and thousands of his peers endured.
The book was first published under the name "Abu Ahmed Muhammad," but in this second edition, the author reveals his real name after the collapse of Bashar al-Assad's regime and the removal of the threat to family, relatives, and friends who might have gone through the same experience the author did in the prisons of that defunct regime.
The author says in a glimpse of the book: "The fate of the King of Kings willed it, and divine justice came, so the tyrants were defeated and the criminals fell. This occurred on a memorable day in the history of the nation: December 8, 2024. An unforgettable day, a day when the spirit returned to our homelands, and ululations of joy erupted throughout Syria and in the hearts of the bereaved in the diaspora, as if the earth had finally breathed after a long period of suffocation." It was a great shock to all of humanity when the chapters of the crimes committed by the former regime began to unfold: torture, forced disappearance, and the degradation of dignity—both apparent and hidden.
